During his old age he was surrounded by many diseases. After this he realized that I had spent my entire life only in earning money, now I should improve the afterlife. After this he remembered a verse, in which the specialty of Magh month was explained. He resolved to take bath in the month of Magh ‘Maghe Nimgra: Salile Sushite Vimuktapaapastradivam Prayanti..’ Taking a resolution to bathe with this verse, he started bathing in Narmada and bathed for 9 consecutive days and after bathing on the tenth day, he left his body.
Brahmin Shubhavrat had not done any virtuous work in his life. But after taking bath in the month of Magh, his mind became pure and he attained heaven. In this way, Shubhavrat got well-being in the last moments of his life.
